Our Residents are travelling around the World with our new ‘Grab Your Passport!’ initiative

26th January 2021

Our wellbeing and activities teams are innovative, forward thinking and always looking for ways in which they can improve involvement and engagement amongst residents. Whatever our residents enjoy doing in their free time, our dedicated staff are on hand to make sure that they enjoy their day-to day lives and that they can live life as independently as possible.
Our new ‘Grab Your Passport!’ initiative does exactly that.
We want to connect our residents to the greater world and allow them to experience cultures and tastes from all over the globe. Residents spend one day each month traveling, virtually, to another country to explore the history, art, music and cuisine. From Portugal and France to China and the Caribbean, residents are sure to enjoy their experience at each of these locations – they even get a stamp in their Springfield passport for each location they visit!
On 26th January, we kicked this initiative off with a ‘virtual’ trip to Scotland! Our residents enjoyed trying lots of Scottish food and dancing to Scottish music. Thank you to our amazing activities and wellbeing team for organising this fun filled day.
